Discover the taste of dark beer
Dark beer picks up its colour from the roasted malts with which it’s brewed. This often gives dark beers a roasted flavour. This also allows you to pick up aromas of chocolate, coffee, liquorice and toast. Well-known dark beers are porters, stouts and bock beers. Detailed information about these beers can be found on the relevant pages. Because we like to go all the way at Uiltje, we mainly focus on the heavier styles. With us, roasted is really roasted, and sweet is really sweet. We also like to make our dark beers high in alcohol. So be warned!
Taste the dark beers from Uiltje Brewing
Although at Uiltje we are mainly known for our hoppy beers, we have now brewed a nice assortment of dark beers too. Our motto bigger is better also applies here. For example, take our Mind your Step series; a series of imperial stouts with ABVs up to 14,5% and flavours of marshmallow, vanilla and pretzel. Another striking example is our double bock, which is inspired by apple strudel. In addition to the regulars in our assortment we regularly brew other dark beers. So keep an eye on this page if you want to stay informed of the latest additions!
